UP TO 75 new jobs could be created in Malvern if plans go ahead to build a new factory in the town.
Bosses at ESP, which is based on the Enigma Business Park, are now looking to open a new purpose-built factory at Blackmore Park and expand the business by about 50 per cent.
Malvern MP Harriett Baldwin met company bosses to show her support for the project.
The company, which makes disposable paper tissue products, was recently recognised at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce awards.
Last month, ESP also celebrated 25 years in business with a party at the Three Counties Showground.
Isla Buchanan, a projects manager at ESP, said the development at Blackmore Park provided them with an opportunity to create a ‘first-class facility’ for the future of the company.
She added: “Our operation is currently split between two units at Enigma Business Park and two at Throckmorton Airfield, near Pershore.
“The new site will consolidate all of these into a single location to improve our operational efficiency whilst allowing much-needed room for expansion.
“This expansion will safeguard existing jobs and, in turn, create new job opportunities, and will continue to do so as the company grows.”
Mrs Baldwin said she had met ESP five years ago and was impressed with the company’s ambition and drive.
She added: “It was great to take the opportunity to catch up and hear about the expansion plans and especially the commitment to creating new jobs and hopefully taking on apprentices in the near future.
“I have offered the company my help as it seeks to source funding to grow the business further and I look forward to meeting with them again when the new site plans are confirmed.”
