THE SEVENTH annual Sunshine Festival in Upton-upon-Severn starts today (Friday) and is set to be bigger and better than ever before.

With more than 100 acts performing over the August Bank Holiday weekend. the three-day extravaganza will provide plenty of entertainment for all the family including a variety of musical legends.

A 1970s theme will kick-off the event as legendary acts Kiki Dee, Mud, Hello and Nazareth are set to perform while Midge Ure, Roland Gift’s Fine Young Canniballs, T’Pau, Mari Wilson and Bad Manners take to the stage on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Sunday sees the legendary Bay City Rollers and Sister Sledge perform as well as Leo Sayer, Beverley Craven and Brother Beyond.

The fun does not end there as the Variety Stage sees comedy acts Bobby Davro, Mick Miller, Jimmy Cricket and many more provide laughter for all the family while the Sunflower Stage will feature tribute acts Kings Ov Leon, Only One Direction and Bon Jovi Experience as well as tributes to Elvis Presley and George Michael.

As well as the huge variety of music, festival-goers can immerse themselves in a range of village food and a number of trading stalls.
