Farm community encouraged to come together for free breakfast in Holt Heath

A FREE breakfast event for members of the farming community will soon be coming to Holt Heath.

The Farming Community Breakfast will take place at Top Barn, Holt Heath, Worcester, from 9.15am to 12.15pm on Wednesday, June 18, following the success of the first event near Upton on Severn in January.

As well as a free breakfast, there will be an introduction to the diversification story of Harper Farming, Top Barn Farm Shop and Farm Park, and the Top Barn Trust.

The event will also include a tractor trailer tour of the farm and care farm projects such as Wildgoose Rural Training, Bonterre CIC and Good Soil.

There will also be the opportunity to chat about the development of future social activities within the farming community and how the council might support them going forwards.

Councillor Jennie Watkins, portfolio holder for communities and housing, at Malvern Hills District Council said: “This is a great free event for members of the farming community to come together and socialise over breakfast.

“It also gives the opportunity to discuss any activities they may need support with.”

The event has been organised by Linda Price, Rural Communities Officer at Malvern Hills District Council, in partnership with Emma Hamer, County Advisor at The National Farmers Union.

Places are limited and booking is essential for the event. Contact Linda Price on 01684 862165 or email [email protected] for more information and to book.
