MALVERN will be transformed into a winter wonderland in November for the annual Christmas Lights Switch On, running from 10am to 6pm.
Families can enjoy live entertainment across the town, a local traders’ market at Belle Vue Terrace and the library, festive workshops, and a visit from Father Christmas in his grotto at Great Malvern Library on November 22.
A highlight this year is the new children’s show at the Coach House Theatre, ‘A Surprise for Farmer Christmas’, with performances at 11am and 2pm.
Aimed at children aged 10 and under, tickets cost £5 per family and are available via the Malvern Town Council website.
Mayor of Malvern, Marilyn Birks, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing the festive magic back to Malvern this year.
“There will be plenty of fun and activities for all the family, and we can’t wait to welcome Father Christmas back to Malvern Library.”
The day culminates at 5:30pm with the pantomime celebrities switching on the lights at Belle Vue Island following the parade up Church Street.
Live entertainment continues throughout the afternoon on the BBC Hereford and Worcester Stage, ensuring a day packed with festive cheer.
The celebration continues in Malvern Link on November 28, 2025 with its own Christmas Lights Switch On.
