Final free microchip sessions for dogs this Thursday in Malvern

A FREE dog microchipping service is being held in Malvern this Thursday (September 18) by the county council’s regulatory services team.

It’s the last opportunity to get your pooch microchipped in what has been a series of events across the county this summer.

It is a legal requirement to make sure a dog is microchipped, but many pet owners don’t for a variety of reasons.

Worcestershire Regulatory Services’ senior dog warden, Pip Singleton, said: “Reuniting lost dogs with their owners is always a joy, and having up to date microchips makes it so much easier to do.

“An opportunity to have your dog microchipped for free is certainly something to make use of.”

“It’s also a good reminder to residents to make sure that any existing microchips their pets have are accurate and up to date.”

Microchips are being offered for free, in a no judgement no questions asked environment. It represents a great opportunity for residents to get this done to help reduce the risk of lost dogs not being reunited with owners.

The event will take place at Victoria Park from 11.30am till 1.30pm in each of the locations. There is no need to prebook.
