Firefighters issue plea on social media to ‘inconsiderate’ parkers

Malvern Editorial 8th May, 2017   0

DRIVERS across the Malvern Hills are being urged to think about how they park their cars by the fire service to ensure emergency services vehicles can get through.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service tweeted this picture over the weekend with the message: ‘Visiting friends & family this weekend. Please think about how you park.

“Blocking 999 routes could cost lives.”

Firefighters used the hashtag #EverySecondCounts.

The post comes just two months after firefighters struggled to get to a fire at a house on Belmont Road where a man died.
