FIVE dancers and their coach from a Malvern-based dancing academy will represent Team England at a national tournament in the United States of America next week.
Bryony Heasman, Eleanor Houlbrooke, Ceri Solomon, Katie Stokes and Casey Rawlings, all students at the Dance in Motion Academy, and their tutor Gemma Hinton have been selected to represent their country at the World Cheerleading and Dance Championships in Orlando, Florida on Thursday, April 26.
Both Gemma and her students have been training all over the UK for the past eight months in preparation for the championships.
They have also showcased in Worcester, Walsall and Telford with their teams alongside continuing their weekly training at the Dance in Motion Academy on Byre Court.
“This year we have students who have been selected to compete in Team England Pom, Paracheer Pom and Paracheer Hip Hop,” said Gemma.
“I am so excited for the students – what a great achievement for them to be representing their country at such an elite level.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity of being selected as Head Dance Technique Coach for Team England Pom.
“I have enjoyed every minute of training this fantastic team.”
