A NEW app has been launched to guide visitors around the 17th century banks and ditches on the Malvern Hills.
The Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty funded the app which was written by George Demidowicz.
George had appeared on BBC Radio Four’s Open County show to discuss the origins of the historic banks and ditches on the Malvern Hills and the new app will allow users to follow the line of enclosures on their mobile phone.
David Armitage, of the Malvern Hills AONB, said: “We’re very grateful to George and the Battle of Worcester Society to highlight this important newly discovered feature on the hills.
“By using the app to follow the enclosure ditches, people will understand what an enormous undertaking it was for the new landowners to mark their boundaries.”
