SHOPPERS will soon be able to take advantage of free weekend parking in the run up to Christmas, thanks to Malvern Hills District Council.
The authority is spreading some festive cheer by offering free parking in all of its car parks on selected days during December.
Visitors to the area will be able to park without charge from midday on Saturdays and all day on Sundays from December 2 up until Christmas Eve.
The move has been introduced to help support traders during the festive season.
Coun Bronwen Behan, responsible for car parking on Malvern Hills District Council, said: “We‘re keen to support local businesses and understand the key role free parking has to play in bringing in extra trade during the most important time of the year for retailers.
“We hope this will encourage people to explore and discover all Malvern, Upton and Tenbury has to offer.”
