A POPULAR Malvern community centre will be offering a programme of free youth activities throughout the six-week school break.
The Cube is taking part in Our Malvern Summer for the very first time and the activities provided aim to give young people the chance to get out and about, keep fit and learn new skills.
The centre, on Albert Road North, has teamed up with Fortis Living, Freedom Leisure, Malvern Hills District Council, Action for Children and The Octagon to deliver the programme.
Its events are aimed for 11 to 14-year-olds and range from skateboarding sessions, kite making, drumming and outdoor cooking.
Kelda White, Malvern Cube’s youth activities co-ordinator, said: “It’s great to be part of this partnership.
“Although The Cube has moved away from its original role as a youth centre our passion to provide exciting and challenging youth-centred activities continues.
“And we hope Our Malvern Summer offers fantastic opportunities for local young people to take part, have fun and make new friends.
“It’s a real chance for young people to step away from computer screens and social media platforms and be in the fresh air.”
Our Malvern Summer starts on Thursday with a multi-sport session and finishes on September 3.
