FUNDS were raised for a county hospice in memory of a Malvern Rugby Club player and supporter.
Steve Cooper from the club held his 50th birthday party there, raising £750 for St Richard’s Hospice as a tribute to Pete Flanagan, who passed away following a year-long battle with cancer.
On the same day, Pete’s daughter Theresa Flanagan-Perkins did a skydive, raising a further £2,000 for the hospice where her father was cared for.
St Richard’s provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Visit www.strichards.org.uk for more information.
