THE NATIONALLY-acclaimed Malvern Festival of Innovation returns next week for its fourth successive year.

The event launches on Tuesday (October 6) and will run until Sunday (October 11) at a range of venues throughout the town.

Organised by Innovate Malvern CIC in association with Malvern Hills District Council and supported by numerous sponsors, the festival will see cyber security discussed as a high priority.

That theme will be at Malvern Theatres on Friday (October 9) while Thursday (October 8) will see the Three Counties Showground host a day focusing on the importance of new ways of thinking when designing systems or products.




The use of robotics in agriculture will be discussed at Malvern Theatres on Wednesday (October 7) before a family fun day takes place at the Grange Road site on Saturday (October 10).

The event will then finish on Sunday (October 11) at Priory Park which will showcase of the current and future crop of electric cars.


Dr Adrian Burden, founder and curator of the festival, said: “Today, more than ever, we all need to innovate.

“We need new ideas to stay competitive in business, new technologies to improve our lives, and we must be creative in how we use resources.

“This festival is a fantastic opportunity for businesses and the public to find out what is coming next and how others are innovating.”
