MALVERN St James has achieved gold standard in the Healthier Choices Food Award scheme.
The scheme, run by Worcestershire Regulatory Services, is open only to those businesses which have the highest possible five-star food hygiene rating.
And the award recognises Worcestershire food businesses which caters for people by offering them a variety of healthy and flexible options, with a special Gold Award for businesses which also use food that has been grown or produced nearby.
MSJ, an independent girl’s day and boarding school, also provides catering for numerous events and conferences.
They cater for all preferences, including cultural and dietary requirements, and can also provide internationally themed dishes.
Mrs Olivera Raraty, headmistress at MSJ said: “It’s a fantastic achievement and a wonderful accolade for Mrs Fisher and the catering team, who do an exceptional job in providing us with delicious and healthy meals on a daily basis.
“The award is validation of what we have known for a long time about MSJ’s catering.”
Coun Phil Grove, leader of Malvern Hills District Council, added: “It is great news to have yet another award winning business in the district.
“These awards just show how dedicated and hardworking many of our businesses are in the area, and we congratulate MSJ for their great contribution.”
