VANDALS have caused criminal damage to a convenience store by painting it with graffiti.
The images, commonly referred to as ‘tags’, were sprayed on the outside wall and the entrance door of Tesco Express on Madresfield Road some time between 2am and 4am on Saturday (December 20). A nearby BT phone box was similarly damaged.
A member of the public caught the criminals in the act and reported them to police but was unable to get a clear description and officers are now looking at CCTV.
Graffiti similar in style was also discovered at the Howsell Road railway bridge.
Anyone with information on the incidents should contact police on 101 using the reference 148s of December 20.
Information can also be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111.
