A SPECIAL fund-raising coffee morning is being held in Ledbury in aid of the Acorns Children’s Hospice.
The event will be held on Saturday (May 2) at St Katherine’s Hall from 10am until 2pm and has been organised by Janet and David Morris in memory of their grandson John-Paul, who received care at Acorns.
A group of five volunteers from the town’s Acorn shop have joined forces with the couple to hold the morning and have invited residents to enjoy tea, coffee and cakes at the event as well as a special raffle in aid of the good cause.
Ellie Scrivener, the shop’s manager, said: “As soon as the volunteers from the shop heard about the event they wanted to help in any way they could.
“We have a really good relationship with the community in Ledbury and this is another way of us reaching out to Acorns supporters.”
