THERE will be fun for all the family when the annual Malvern Mayor’s Bonanza returns to the calendar this weekend.
The fun-day event will be held in Priory Park, behind Malvern Theatres, from 1pm until 6.30pm on Sunday (August 14).
It will feature music, face-painting and balloon modelling, traditional fairground rides, and everything from circus skills workshops to a climbing wall.
Local food and drink will be provided by The Indian Rasoi, Hilltop Farm Hot Pork Rolls, 3Sixty Café, The Friday Beer Company.
A whole range of different stalls will be present showcasing crafts, toys, gifts and sweets, including Barnards Green Post Office, Just So, Blueberry Button and Glassware. Acorns Childrens’ Hospice will be on hand to showcase their work, and we will also be joined by Malvern St John Ambulance, celebrating its centenary anniversary, Malvern Police and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
The beautiful surroundings of Priory Park make a perfect venue for a pleasant Sunday afternoon enjoying the stalls and performers along with a picnic and perhaps an ice cream from Benito’s.
Performers including the Remi Harris Project, Miss Pearl and the Rough Diamonds, the Vox Rox Choir, Bourbon Alley, and Blue Moon will be entertaining the crowds all day from the Bandstand.
The Mayor’s Bonanza is free to attend, and will be fundraising in support of the Mayor’s chosen charity for the year.
Coun Cynthia Palmer has chosen Acorns Childrens’ Hospice as her charity for 2016.
