Great Malvern Farmers' Market to return this weekend

Malvern Editorial 12th Jan, 2022   0

GREAT Malvern Farmers’ Market is to return this weekend to its temporary home during the winter months, writes Holly Martin.

The much-loved market, usually held in Priory Grounds, will take place from 9am to 2pm on Saturday, January 15, at the Lyttleton Rooms on 6 Church Street, to accommodate the changing weather conditions.

The popular market boasts local fresh produce including fruit, vegetables, salads, breads, cheeses, meats and a range of other tasty surprises.

Among the traders will be Peter Cooks (bread), Styans (fruit and veg), Lightwood (cheese), Rourkes (pies), Yum Sweet Treats (cakes and fudge), Chill Your Beans (vegan savouries), The Ferme (fermented/pickled vegetables) and many more.

Coun Daniel Walton, Portfolio Holder for Tourism and Economic Development at Malvern Hills District Council, said: “It is great to see the market returning this weekend for residents and visitors to enjoy and support local.

“The temporary change of venue will also allow traders to continue to share their produce, whatever the weather.”
