GRITTERS will be out on the roads tonight after forecasts of sleet and snow.
Teams from Worcestershire County Council are set to head out from 7pm following Met Office predictions of low road surface temperatures over the weekend, with surface water from recent heavy rainfall liable to develop into black ice.
Drivers should drive with caution, not assuming roads have been gritted, and ensure they maintain a safe distance between themselves and other vehicles to allow for large braking distance on wet or icy roads.
Visit www.metoffice.gov.uk for up to date weather information or www.worcestershire.gov.uk/gritting for gritting information.
