ONE OF Upton’s busiest roads could remain closed until next week, transport chiefs at Worcestershire County Council have said.
Hanley Road was closed earlier this week following high levels of flooding from the nearby River Severn caused by the aftermath of heavy rain from Storm Imogen.
A tweet to the Observer from the county council, answering when the road will reopen, reads: “Not anytime soon, probably after the weekend. River Severn still rising.”
The road was closed for a short while last month following heavy rain – as pictured above.
