Hate crime web chat: A chance to find out more and talk to an expert

Malvern Editorial 13th Oct, 2017   0

PEOPLE in Malvern are being offered a chance to talk about hate crime with lead Chief Superintendent Charles Hill.

To mark National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2017, which starts on Saturday, people in Redditch are being encouraged to talk about the issue in the community.

From 5pm to 6pm next Wednesday, Chief Supt Hill will be running a live web chat to give people the opportunity to ask questions about hate crime or raise any issues they have.

Chief Superintendent Hill said: “We struggle to communicate with some of the communities often affected by hate crime. We’re always looking at new ways to engage these groups and this will offer another route in which they can get more information.

“Please take this opportunity to ask any questions you have around hate crime or raise any issues you have.”

People can access the web chat and register for a reminder on the links at

Anything posted on the web chat will be published on the police website and visible to the public.

To ask a question in private e-mail [email protected].

Crimes should be reported to police by calling 101.
