Heady offer

VISITORS to a Malvern community centre were treated to a hair-up and braiding session by kind-hearted students.

Pupils from South Worcestershire College went along to Zest for Life, based at the Octagon Community Centre, to take part in the event last Wednesday (April 15).

Zest for Life, which takes place at the Brook Farm Drive site from 12pm every Wednesday, offers residents a host of free food and drink along with a range of activities.

The students have also been to the centre and given manicures and Indian head massages.

Martin Lawrence, organiser of Zest for Life, said: “If we can get people to learn something which they can do between one Wednesday and the next, then people who would otherwise be isolated and lonely have the chance to do something really enjoyable.

“The South Worcestershire College girls have been in to do hair-up and braiding, manicures, pedicures and Indian head massages and I sincerely thank them for their efforts.”
