High Tea at Holy Trinity will raise much-needed funds for Malvern Hills Foodbank

Malvern Editorial 4th Oct, 2022   0

A HIGH Tea event will be held in the parish hall of Holy Trinity Church, Link Top, to raise funds for Malvern Hills Foodbank.

The event – from 2.30pm to 4.30pm next Saturday, October 15 – will have prosecco on offer, along with savouries, sandwiches, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks.

A decorative cake is also being made for the occasion and a small version of it will be among the prizes in the raffle.

The event is being run by the Mission Committee of Holy Trinity.

A committee representative said: “We are all aware of how uncomfortably difficult spending on basics is at the moment and will continue to be for some time to come.

“It is therefore appropriate to support the foodbank as it responds to demand from people in this town by holding an occasion to be enjoyed.

“Holy Trinity has an enviable reputation for hospitality and cakes in particular so buy a ticket and spend a relaxing afternoon of quality food served on quality China.”

Tickets are £10 (£5 for under 12s) and must be ordered in advance.
