Hills landscapes to help hospice

Malvern Editorial 19th Nov, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

STUNNING landscape images of the Malvern Hills feature in a new calendar aiming to raise valuable funds for St Richard’s Hospice.

The calendar was created by Worcestershire-based social enterprise Shuttersphere and displays 12 images from in and around the Malverns.

The company was founded by amateur photographer John Wynn from Malvern who is aiming to raise money and awareness for a number of charities in the UK and further afield.

All profits from the sale of the calendar will go to the hospice which provides free specialist care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Each year the hospice team supports more than 2,500 patients and family members in the county.

Mr Wynn said: “I was fortunate enough to spend time volunteering at St Richard’s and see first-hand the amazing support the charity provides. I enjoy taking the photos and being able to use them to help St Richard’s is a win-win.”

St Richard’s fund-raising director Tricia Cavell added: “John has taken some fantastic and atmospheric photographs which make for a stunning calendar.

“He has been very generous giving his time to volunteer for St Richard’s and we are thrilled this has motivated him to help us raise even more funds towards our patient care.”

The calendar, which costs £9.99, can be purchased online at www.shutter-sphere.com/calendars or in store at St Richard’s Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Barnards Green and Upton shops.
