Hoping to pull in the cash

A MALVERN businesswoman is set to exercise for 60 miles in six days for charity to mark her 60th birthday.

Felicity Siviter will row, cycle and walk to complete the challenge which she will begin at The Malvern Spa tomorrow (Thursday, May 1).

The co-owner of Parrys of Malvern jewellery store will take on the task for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity she has served for 15 years and is now the lead volunteer for Malvern.

Felicity said: “Everybody’s family is affected by cancer in one way or another. I just think Macmillan are brilliant. They are so much more than just nurses they support people in so many other ways.”

Despite describing herself as ‘not very sporty’ Felicity decided to take on the challenge which is equal to more than two marathons, after taking personal fitness sessions.

In preparation she has managed to exercise for ten miles a day, which is what she will have to do as a minimum for six days on the trot.

“This will be a massive challenge for me personally, but I am looking forward to it and I am very determined.

“The staff at Malvern Spa have been very supportive. I just think I am lucky to be 60 and healthy so I want to give something back.”

Dan Smart, fitness manager at The Malvern Spa, will be cheering Felicity on along the way.

“Felicity has made a huge improvement with her fitness and she has worked really, really hard.

“We will be here every step of the way to push her forward.”

Donations are being collected at The Malvern Spa and Parrys for anyone who wants to support Felicity’s challenge.
