Huge crowd expected for 60th Royal Three Counties Show

MORE than 90,000 visitors are expected to flock to Malvern this week for the 60th anniversary of the Royal Three Counties Show.

The three-day extravaganza at the Three Counties Showground flings open its gates on Friday and is set to be the biggest celebration of the Great British countryside yet.

Some of the county’s aspiring music artists will entertain the crowds wile visitors can follow a trail of beautiful works of art from celebrated artist David Birtwhistle.

The popular Medieval re-enactment camp also returns to focus on Worcestershire’s exciting history while The Firs, birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar, will be showcasing an original piano owned by the world-famous composer.




Diana Walton, head shows for the Three Counties, said: “We can’t wait to open the gates on this year’s spectacular anniversary show.

“We’ve got something for everyone from jaw-dropping Red Devil parachute displays and the incredible Shetland Pony Grand National, to the


magnificent champion livestock in the Grand Parade and Britain’s best loved farmers in the form of Adam Henson and the cast of The Archers.

“It’s set to be a hearty feast of farming, fine food and family entertainment.”

Advanced tickets cost £19 for adults and £5 for children.
