AN ‘INSPIRATIONAL’ standard of entries were on show in this year’s Malvern in Bloom competition.
That was the opinion of bloom chairman John Jordan after the judging of 16 gardens took place in the town.
Bill Simpson, a senior Royal Horticultural Society judge, and Coun Julian I’Anson, Mayor of Malvern, were in charge of judging the entries.
Mr Jordan said: “Overall the quality and variety of flowers, and the standard set by our local residents, was quite inspirational.
“We were continually surprised by the hidden gems, tucked away at the back of the houses.
“Several residents only had a very small space, but it was amazing how much they had managed to pack into their ‘secret garden’. The judges were most impressed.”
Malvern Town Council organise the competition and winners will be announced shortly.
