NEW monthly Trade Fair events aimed to boost trade is coming to Ledbury.

Town resident John McQuaid has organised the new monthly events which will sell a wide range of items at Ledbury Community Hall on the third Saturday of every month between 11am and 5pm.

The first event will take place on Saturday, February 15, and will be officially opened by the town’s MP Bill Wiggin.

More than 25 traders will attend selling a wide range of items ranging from arts, crafts, food, clothing, books, jewellery, health products, household goods and many more.

There will also be some outdoors traders which include some amusements for children as well.

Mr McQuaid told the Observer he was looking forward to next week’s first event.

“I’ve been part of the Ledbury Carnival for 12 years now running stalls there and thought why not give it a go,” he said.

“This is something I’ve been thinking about doing for a long time but have put it on the back burner for one reason or another. I’m just excited it is going to be happening now.

“Planning for our first event has gone well and we have many traders coming along. Hopefully this will provide a boost to the people of Ledbury and the traders. I just hope the weather will be okay for the big day.”
