WEST WORCESTERSHIRE MP Harriett Baldwin joined local employers at The Chase School to help promote apprenticeship programmes.
The MP was invited to the event last Friday (March 10) as part of the national Apprenticeship Week scheme which aims to encourage more people to look at vocational qualifications.
A dozen employers took part in the mini-careers fair and pupils were encouraged to chat about opportunities on offer.
Mrs Baldwin said: “Apprenticeships can offer great opportunities to learn while you earn and I would encourage pupils to look at this option as they chose their career options.
“I often come across local employers who are looking to fill apprenticeships and it is great to see schools like The Chase helping to promote these opportunities.
“I’m grateful for the efforts of Helena Baxter who is working tirelessly to bring employers and students together.
“There are many exciting opportunities for young people and it is great to see apprenticeship numbers growing across the county.”
