A RETIREMENT village in Malvern celebrated its tenth anniversary earlier this month and raised a bit of cash for charity in the process.
Clarence Park Village – located at the foot of the Malvern Hills – honoured the occasion with residents, their family and friends as well as local community partners and businesses.
The event welcomed two choirs – Malvern Community Choir and I-Sing Choir – and a group of enthusiastic Morris dancers for the celebrations.
Residents and visitors also enjoyed a host of garden games as well as a display charting the village’s successes and memorable occasions over the last decade.
During the day, almost £100 was raised for the Guide Dogs charity, topped up by a further £50 donation.
Sarah Sutton, director of new customers and specialist housing at Platform Housing Group said: “We had such a wonderful day celebrating the 10 years since Clarence Park opened its doors.
“It was so lovely to get everyone together and see how the community has grown and developed over the past decade. Thanks to all those who worked hard to ensure the day was a success.”
