Looking good for hospice

FASHIONABLE fund-raisers put on their very own catwalk show to raise funds for St Richard’s Hospice.

A group of residents from the Malvern Hills Foyer and Bath Road housing schemes organised an event at the Malvern Link head office of their landlord Festival Housing, raising £150.

Samantha Creese, senior youth development worker at the Malvern Hills Foyer, said: “We often receive donations from local sources and our young residents decided they wanted to give something back to the community.

“They came up with the idea of a fashion show where they dressed up their support workers and themselves to raise money for St Richard’s Hospice in clothes they borrowed from the hospice’s charity shops in Malvern.

“It was great that all the young residents got involved in the organisation – choosing the clothing, creating the music and staging and choreographing the show.”

St Richard’s fund-raiser Rachel Jones added: “This was a wonderful way for the young people to give something back to their community and have some fun at the same time.”
