Low cost Zumba classes for Malvern residents this autumn

Malvern Editorial 22nd Oct, 2018   0

RESIDENTS are being encouraged to sign up for low cost Zumba classes in Malvern this autumn.

Organised by Fortis Living, the sessions are open to everyone and take place every Monday from 6pm to 6.50pm at St Mary’s Church Hall on Sherrards Green Road.

Caroline Winnall, Fortis Living’s health and well-being co-ordinator, said: “These Zumba classes are affordable to many who are restricted in taking part in other exercise classes which can be prohibitively expensive.

“We purposely subsidise them so everyone in the community, not just Fortis Living customers, can get involved.

”With mental health at the forefront of many organisations agendas, it is well known physical activity has a huge potential to enhance our well-being.

“Participating in regular physical activity can also increase our self-esteem and reduce stress and anxiety.

“All our classes are fun, supportive and inclusive and take place in the centre of our communities.”

The exercise classes, which cost £2 per session, are run in association with Freedom Leisure, Malvern Hills District Council and Clarence Park Health Suite.

No booking is required but comfortable clothes and a bottle of water are the only requirements.
