Macmillan helped out by residents

Malvern Editorial 4th Mar, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

A GROUP of kind-hearted Malvern residents helped raise more than £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Malvern Social Education Centre raked in a total of £420 from raffles, fun days at the Geraldine Road site and cake bakes to hand to the charity.

Aided by support worker Jacqui Ingram, the group’s total means the support given by Malvern SEC could now pay for a Macmillan nurse for two days.

Kelly Whitehouse, fund-raising manager for Macmillan, said: “It is wonderful the team at Malvern Social Education Centre are getting their fund-raising hats on for Macmillan Cancer Support and showing their support for people affected by cancer.”
