MAGGS DAY Centre opened its doors to Worcester’s mayor and the High Sheriff of Worcestershire.
On May, 18, Maggs held its open day which served as an opportunity to welcome stakeholders, partners, and guests to view the charity’s facilities they have supported.
The day centre is open five days a week and provides a dry and safe environment for homeless and vulnerable people can receive tailored support.
Located in St. Albans Church, the day centre is the first of Maggs operations which aided rough sleepers. The charity also hosts day centre’s in Malvern.
Melissa Blewitt, Maggs’ marketing and relations manager, said: “We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Worcester and the High Sheriff of Worcestershire, as well as our dedicated stakeholders to Maggs Day Centre.
“It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with those who make our work possible and it allowed us to demonstrate the positive impact of their contributions firsthand. We’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds and celebrating our 40th anniversary next year.”
Worcester Mayor, Coun Mel Allcott, added:
“Spending time with the trustees, volunteers and staff gave a real insight into the wide ranging issues affecting homeless people today.
“I look forward to a further visit and supporting this vital charity where I can.”
