VISITORS to a National Trust site near Malvern are invited to bring their surplus apples and pears to be thrown into a giant crusher and turned into juice to take home.
The three-day event at Croome Court is a good way to use up the windfalls collected from the garden.
Katherine Alker, garden and outdoors manager, said: “We are delighted to be holding our apple pressing day and it’s such a great way to use up that unwanted fruit that many of us have lying around our gardens.”
Members of the garden team will also be on standby to give pruning advice for apple trees to visitors.
The free event takes place from Saturday to Monday between 11am-3pm.
