THE Annual Residents’ Survey in Malvern has received a record number of responses from constituents across the district.
The survey, which asks residents to share their priorities for the district, returned 1,775 responses from locals wanting to have their say.
Malvern Hills District Council says the results are now being analysed and will feed into the council’s revised strategic Five Year Plan for 2024/25.
Residents who completed the survey were entered into a prize draw with a number of £75 vouchers up for grabs to use at a local, independent restaurant or retailer in the area of their choice within the district.
The council have said the prize draw has been completed and winners have been contacted via email.
A Malvern Hills District Council spokesperson said: “A big thank you to everyone that took part.
“We have now done the prize draw and have contacted our winners via email. So keep an eye on your inboxes.”
In 2021, climate change and carbon emissions were indicated as a top priority by residents.
As a result, the council incorporated hydrotreated vegetable oil into a number of waste fleet vehicles, installed solar tiles and battery storage in council owned toilets, as well as making improvements to energy efficiency at Malvern Splash and Malvern Theatres after energy audits.
Electric vehicle charging points have also been installed in council-owned car parks across the district, and secondary glazing and a new building management system was installed at the Council House.
