ARTISTS, wannabe artists, adults and children are invited to get involved in a community art project which has just been launched to help raise funds for charity Malvern Special Families.

‘Little Stuff’ in the Long Gallery at the Malvern School of Art, on Albert Road North, is a postcard art celebration which started last week and requires entrants to submit a postcard-sized (15cm by 10cm) piece of artwork in any media to go on display for £1.

The artists will remain anonymous and at the end of the exhibition the postcards are taken down, shuffled up and each participant will receive somebody else’s piece of work to take home and keep.

This is the third year ‘Little Stuff’ has been exhibited and last year, more than 250 entries were submitted and displayed in the gallery including a range of textiles, ceramics, paintings and drawings.

Malvern Special Families chairperson Helen Attree said: “We are delighted to be associated with such a unique Community Art Project.

“We will be encouraging the children and young people that attend Malvern Special Families clubs and play schemes to get creative and take part in this fantastic art initiative.

“We’d also like to invite people of all ages in the local community to get involved in the project, it’s a fun and creative thing to do with your family and it would be brilliant if local organisations like schools and nurseries got involved too.”

Anyone wishing to take part should send their artwork by post to the Malvern School of Art with the £1 entry fee as well as contact details on a separate piece of paper.

All money raised from the exhibition will be going to Malvern Special Families.
