The theme of Cleeve House’s event was a summer beach party with Pimm’s, cocktails, soft drinks and fish and chips keeping everyone joyous and well fed. Visitors also enjoyed the full beach experience thanks to a pool and sand pit.

A singer was also on hand to provide entertainment for residents and visiting families.

A raffle was also held with vouchers kindly donated by Hereford United, Malvern Theatres, Ice Quest, Andrew Slater Hairdressing, The Malvern Melts Company, The Anchor Inn and Alexandra’s hair salon.

The staff also created a luxury hamper donating various items for a separate raffle. The event also featured a tombola and a name the giant octopus game.

Following the event, Cleeve House representatives thanked everyone who got involved and donated for their support in helping the charity.

In total, £467.70 was raised for HeartStart Malvern’s important charitable work. Over the last 12 months, Heartstart Malvern has provided it’s free life-saving training to over 1,300 people, including local schools, and continues to maintain a network of 34 defibrillators in Malvern.

Richard Vakis-Lowe, chairman of Heartstart Malvern told the Standard: “We would like to send a huge heartfelt thank you to the residents and staff at Cleeve House for all of their hard work arranging the fete and to everyone who supported it.

“This is an incredible kind and much appreciated donation which will be put to good use.

“It is only through very kind donations such as this, that we are able to provide training free of charge and to maintain our defibrillators.

“As we are a small charity run completely by volunteers, every single penny of this donation will be spent on our charitable objectives.”
