Malvern coffee shop providing free packed lunches for children who need them over half-term

A MALVERN coffee shop will be providing packed lunches for children in the district who need them over half-term.

Poolbrook Kitchen and Coffee Shop, Poolbrook Road, has responded to the drive to offer meals for disadvantaged children following the campaign launched by Manchester United and England footballer Marcus Rashford.

It also follows the Government’s decision to vote down proposals for meals to be provided for all children during the school holidays in Parliament last week.

The packed lunches will be available to collect at midday on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (October 27 to 30) and the meals need to be pre-ordered by midday the day before.

The coffee shop staff will reply to confirm the order has been received.

Anyone needing lunches should email poolbrookcafe@gmail.com or text the details to 07522 751448.

Parents or guardians should include the name of the child, the days required and the choice of sandwich filling – ham, cheese, tuna mayo or strawberry jam.
