THE LEADER of Malvern Hills District Council has praised a local developer for delivering ‘much-needed’ homes and investment in infrastructure in Leigh Sinton.
Councillor John Gallagher recently visited the site of developer Lion Court Homes’ new 52 property development in Leigh Sinton which is currently under construction.
During the visit, Coun Gallagher toured different areas of the site and discussed plans for the homes and green spaces, which are set to be complete in 2027.
He said: “It was a pleasure to visit this important development and see first-hand the work that is going into delivering these much-needed homes.
“It’s always great to see developments that are meeting the housing needs across the Malvern Hills district and are being delivered by a local homebuilder.”
Named The Hamlet and located off the A4103, the development will be comprised of a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes in detached, semi-detached and terraced styles.
A total of 15 of the 52 homes being delivered will be available through social rent and shared ownership, with the remainder offered through the open market.
Over £350,000 in Section 106 contributions will be invested into the community. Funds will support education, school, community transport, public spaces, children’s play areas, local NHS provision as well as green spaces such as play areas, parks, gardens and allotments.
Coun Gallagher added: “I look forward to seeing the development blossom into a great place to live and somewhere the Malvern Hills residents can thrive.”
Earlier this year, Lioncourt Homes secured a five-star customer satisfaction rating from the Home Builders’ Federation (HBF) for the 11th consecutive year.
