Malvern farmer injured after lorry ramp fell on him

A FARMER has been hospitalised after the ramp of a lorry fell on him.

The incident happened this morning (Wednesday, April 23) at a farm near Malvern Wells.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the scene around 11.35am and dispatched an ambulance, critical care paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and a community first responder.

A WMAS spokeswoman said the ramp of an animal transporter lorry had fell on the man who is in his 30s, but he managed to get himself from underneath before crews arrived.




He was given pain relief and treated at the scene for back injuries and possible chest injuries before being fully immobilised and sent to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
