GREAT MALVERN’s farmers market is moving to a temporary home for the winter months, writes Oliver Savidge.
After suffering cold and blustery winter weather, the market was forced to move from Abbey Road to 6,Church Street.
Boffy Arts Markets has arranged two events for the market tomorrow (Saturday, January 18) and next month’s (February 15). The markets will take place from 9am to 2pm.
Locally produced produce, will provide visitors with fresh groceries and food products, like your fruit and veg.
Traders involved, include baker Peter Cooks and jam and chutney sellers Brewston Preserves among others.
Beverley Nielsen, portfolio holder for economic development and tourism at Malvern Hills District Council said: “The Great Malvern Farmers’ Market is a staple event in the town’s calendar.
“Popular with residents and visitors alike, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The temporary change of venue will allow traders to continue to share their goods, whatever the weather.”
