Malvern fire crews deployed their off-road Argocat vehicle to rescue a casualty who had fallen on the Malvern Hills and returned her to the care of the ambulance service.
Two Malvern fire crews rescued the woman, in her 50s, after they were called out to the Happy Valley area of the hills at about 9.24am this morning.
She was placed in the care of West Midlands Ambulance paramedic officers, who treated her for potentially serious injuries.
The casualty was taken to Worcester Royal Hospital for further treatment.
Fire crews left the scene at 12:05pm.
The Argocat is a specialist, eight-wheeled, all-terrain vehicle, which can be equipped with a high-pressure fogging unit to tackle grass fires and is suitable for rescue missions in hard-to-reach locations such as the Malvern Hills.
