MALVERN businesses are set to fly the flag for Worcestershire at an upcoming security exhibition.

The Security Event, the largest of its kind in Europe, is making a return to the NEC in Birmingham from April 30 to May 2.

The event aims to educate smaller businesses and industry professionals on all forms of security including public safety, cyber security and creating a safe working environment among other goals.

Seminars are delivered by security experts, product demonstrations are shown and the event will be host to the regional qualifiers of the World Skills competition.

LTS Security based in Malvern will be representing the region during the exhibition which is expected to welcome more than 14,000 visitors.

LTS provides products such as HD cameras, intercoms, CCTV towers, and knife arches to improve security and reduce threat levels in both personal and public spaces.

Dave Beech, LTS managing director said: “Attending the Security Event allows us to profile our leading edge products and technology, parts developed and sourced within the local Worcestershire area.

“The Security Event is the first one we put on the calendar every year, and would recommend all security professionals pay the show a visit.”

Other businesses from the Worcestershire area attending the show include British Security Industry Association, The Keysafe Company, Skills for Security, and Keynetics Ltd.

Tristan Norman, group event director of the Nineteen Group, added: “This year sees the show return bigger and better than ever before, but that wouldn’t be possible without our incredible exhibitors.

“Technology is developing at a rapid rate, so it’s really important that business owners, decision makers and end users get the chance to see those advancements in person.

“We’re thrilled that nearly every region across the UK is represented at the show, with smaller independent businesses getting the chance to rub shoulders with industry giants.

“The future of this sector is incredibly exciting and we have some of the best young talent on display at the World Skills competition. There really hasn’t been a better time to work in security”.

The Security Event is open to all security professionals working in the commercial and residential market, and students of undergraduate level and above on relevant courses of study are welcome to attend the show.
