Malvern Hills Lions Club raise more than £800 for Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal

Craig Gibbons 16th Mar, 2017

HUNDREDS of pounds have been raised for the Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal by the Malvern Hills Lions Club.

Last Friday the group spent the day outside the town’s Morrison’s store collecting funds and at the end of the day they had raised more than £800.

The following evening (Saturday), the club held it’s annual Quiz Night at Powick Village Hall and this year, all money raised was donated to the Worcestershire and District branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Just under 100 people attended the event and more than £500 was raised.

But following a club meeting on Monday, the group agreed to increase the amount to £600.

Malvern Hills Lions Club is always in need of new members.
