Malvern Editorial 5th Mar, 2018   0

PARKING permits for the Malvern Hills Trust’s car parks are now on sale.

Those eligible for the Resident’s Pass, which costs £5.20, must live in the areas of Guarlford, Malvern Town, Malvern Wells, West Malvern, Colwall and Mathon.

The passes are valid for 12 months from April 1.

When purchasing the pass, residents have been advised to provide proof of their address by bringing in a hard or electronic copy of their Council Tax bill and vehicle registration number.

No other forms of ID can be accepted.

An annual pass is available to those who live outside the levy paying areas but are regular visitors to the hills.

It is valid from the date of purchase and can be obtained from the trust’s office on Grange Road for £36.

A pass for a second vehicle at the same household can be purchased at a reduced rate of £13.

Pay and display parking in the trust’s car parks without either pass is £4.20 per day from April 1.

A trust spokesperson said: “The contribution made by the public through the purchase of parking passes is an essential source of income that supports the charity’s work caring for the hills and commons.

“This support helps the Malvern Hills Trust to protect the ancient archaeology, conserve the habitats and species and keep the Hills open and accessible for all to enjoy.”
