A MALVERN runner covered 177 miles between Chepstow and Prestatyn in just four days to raise funds for NHS Charities Together.
James Davies, a member of Malvern Joggers, undertook the demanding feat along Offa’s Dyke Path.
Due to the heat – and to ensure he stayed safe – he ran it over four days – from July 16 to 19.
Conditions were brutal, especially up on the hills, with temperatures getting red-hot by 10am, but he still came through every checkpoint smiling and in good spirits.
James was too hot to eat and fuelled mainly on fruit and water.
His total elevation was 8,645 metres – Everest is 8,849 metres!!
So far he has raised £1,301 for the NHS Charities Together with more donations coming in all the time.
