A SPECIAL limited edition 2021 calendar created by the Malvern Joggers will raise funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice.
During the Coronavirus pandemic and lockdowns the group has inspired people across the district with their runs and support.
Julia Heron showcased her paintings of some of the favourite running routes the joggers enjoyed on the Malvern Hills.
Due to popular demand The Malvern Joggers’ committee had the paintings made into a 2021 calendar which they are selling for £10 each with the profits going to their charity of the year.
Chairman Warwick Taylor thanked Julia and said: “Through her art, she constantly reminded us of our favourite runs which we were all missing at the time, some we have since been able to run and others we are hoping to run again in 2021.”
This year most of the races the club competes in had to be postponed so the committee set up all sorts of challenges for members to enjoy.
The Malvern Joggers are now hoping people – whether members or non-members – will take part in the club’s Festive Runs.
During the week from December 7 to 13, participants can run a virtual 5k, 10k, half marathon or all three.
Details and applications can be found at malvernjoggers.co.uk – the club’s website.
Each race is £5 or £12 for all three.
Race entries will close on December 1.
