A MALVERN based science and engineering firm has become the newest organisation to join Worcester’s latest public art trail.
Malvern Panlytical is sponsoring two penguins as part of St Richard’s Hospice’s Great Waddle of Worcester.
As part of the Wild in Art event forty large penguins will be designed by artists from Worcestershire and beyond and forty more chicks will be lovingly painted by local schools and community groups.
Liz Oxborough, Finance Director at Malvern Panalytical, said: “We all loved the Big Parade two years ago, so much so that one of the trail’s elephants now sits proudly in our reception area.
“Sponsoring our own penguin and supporting a local school to take part not only allows us to be part of a much-loved community event but to support the care that the hospice provides to patients and loved ones all over the county.
“We’re very proud to be waddling with St Richard’s.”
Sara Matthews, business development manager for St Richard’s Hospice, said: “Our art trails give us the chance to work with some really fantastic community-spirited local organisations, including our friends at Malvern Panalytical.
“The team gets involved in all kinds of incredible projects, helping their customers develop products ranging from life-saving vaccines and nutritious foods to sustainable building materials and renewable energy sources.
“We’re delighted to welcome them to our hospice huddle, helping us make Worcester’s third public art trail bigger and better than ever before.”
