A MALVERN care home has been celebrating the success of one of its team members after he was invited to photograph a prestigious international fashion event in London.
Elgar Court Care Home’s Malvin Hobbs, a professional fashion photographer, was selected to cover the ‘Strut for Peace’ fashion show at the House of Lords on September 26.
Malvin’s talents were recognised after he photographed the prestigious London Fashion Shows earlier in September. His work there caught the attention of organisers of the ‘Strut for Peace’ Global Fashion Summit, who invited him to cover the event at the House of Lords.
The summit, led this year by Dr Meenakshi Ravi, Miss Universe Elite USA 2025, brought together world leaders, diplomats, designers and changemakers from across the globe.
The event united world leaders, diplomats, designers, beauty queens and changemakers, all with the shared aim of promoting unity and positive change.
Speaking after the event, Malvin said: “After gaining MoD security clearance to cover this global event hosted by the UK Government, I got to work with Miss Universe Elite USA and her teams and met Ambassadors from countries across the world.
“It was such an honour to cover this event, and it shows that you don’t have to be London-based to cover these occasions.
“And of course, I can’t wait to share my news with our residents who have been keeping a close eye on my adventures.”
Malvin, who had also covered London Fashion Week earlier in September, said he was looking forward to whatever new opportunities next year’s season might bring.
