A YOUTH found in possession of cannabis in Malvern has prompted the local neighbourhood policing team to ensure residents they are ‘working hard to target drug use and the supply of drugs’ in the community.
The 16-year-old was stopped and searched on Geraldine Road in Malvern at 3.10pm on May 12 after police community support officer (PSCO), Kevin Tudge engaged with the youngster after they were seen to be smoking cannabis.
Officers attended the location and after a short foot chase, the youth was stopped, searched and found to be in posession of an amount of cannabis along with other items.
Malvern, Pickersleigh and Chase Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) have said ‘the youth is being dealt with accordingly’.
They added: “We recognise how drugs use can have a major negative impact on the lives of young people and their loved ones.
Pickersleigh and Chase Police Safer Neighbourhood Team are continuing to work hard to target drugs use and the supply of drugs in our Community.
